How do I transition to a raw diet?Transitioning your pet to a raw diet is a very exciting process but should not be rushed! Recommended transition would look like the following.......
25% raw inclusion into existing diet for the first 7-9 days or until the stool is consistently formed. 50% raw inclusion thereafter, days 9-18. 75% raw inclusion 27 days into transition. Once the 27 days are complete your pet should be on 100% raw! Once fully transitioned, if your pet isn't overly sensitive you could rotate proteins! |
Benefits of feeding a raw diet!
Some noticeable benefits include
Healthy Coat : When fed a high meat diet, the protein & fats go immediately to the pets skin and coat. Which the helps sustain a shiny and healthy coat. Improved Dental Health & Breath: Raw diets provide bacteria and live enzymes that help clean teeth and gums. Decrease of Bowel Movements: Raw food has less filler and more limited ingredients. Your pet will fully adsorb more of the nutrients in a raw diet and therefore have less to pass! |
Raw diets come in all proteins and forms! From rabbit to pork to chicken, there is a large variation for pups with allergies or sensitivities!
From patties, to nuggets there's a variety formulations. Whether you're completely new to feeding raw or have fed it for a long time, there are different options to help keep feeding convenient and easy! Recipes can also come balanced and unbalanced. A balanced recipe would be complete and not require much supplementation. Where as an unbalanced would require supplements. |
